The waccamaw.us welcome page, c. 2008 — the Waccamaw River, ceremonial staffs, and “Walk easy on Mother Earth.”

A tribe’s website is its embassy. This museum preserves every recoverable incarnation of the Waccamaw’s — browsable as living snapshots, not screenshots. Click any incarnation to walk through the site as it was:

2004 — waccamaw.us. The tribe’s first site: a hand-coded frameset — “Waccamaw Indian People Tribal Website” — Home, News Letters, Forums, About, Contact. Built the year before state recognition. → Browse the 2004 site

2005–2011 — “Walk easy on Mother Earth.” The rebuilt welcome page: the Waccamaw River at Conway, an ENTER button between two ceremonial staffs, and the words the site became known by. → Browse the 2008 site

2009–2014 — the WordPress years. waccamawindians.us: the tribe’s first content-managed site — black background, dreamcatcher logo, red-bordered sidebar. Rebuilt here from the original theme files recovered from the tribe’s 2012 backup. It was later compromised and taken down. → Browse the 2011 site

2013–2025 — waccamaw.org, won by arbitration. The tribe fought for and won its .org domain, then rebuilt on Wix through several designs before today’s site. → 2013 · 2016 · 2020 · 2023 · waccamaw.org today

Each snapshot was recovered from the Internet Archive and the tribe’s own backups, repaired only enough to browse — original voice and aesthetic intact.
